Warm welcome to the opening of Jevgenia Vassiljeva’s The Memory of the Herd art exhibition on Thursday, 23 July, from 17 to 21 💙

The Memory of the Herd is a blue world built around animals, inherited memory and ancient instincts. In Jevgenia’s paintings, the bull is a symbol of strength and resilience that acts as a vessel - something ancient, still, and present. The hare appears as intuition - fast, almost impossible to take hold of, but at the same time fragile. It makes a move before we are aware. The moon watches over peacefully, like a witness to what stays with us long after we disappear.

This exhibition is not about animals in a literal sense. It is about what lives inside us instinctively: fear, courage, direction, belonging, and the invisible knowledge we receive from those who came before us.

Jevgenia Vassiljeva is a contemporary artist based in Tallinn, Estonia. Her work is centred on large-scale acrylic paintings of animals and symbols. After studying Graphic Design at the Estonian Academy of Arts, Jevgenia was drawn to symbols that feel ancient and immediate at the same time - bulls, hares, horses, moons, lines, and hidden marks.

Her works have been exhibited in Estonia and collected internationally. In recent years, her practice has moved toward a more focused visual world, where blue has become one of the central elements of her artistic language.

Join us in the blue world created by Jevgenia. The exhibition is on view from 23.7 till 2.8. Our doors are open Tue-Sat 14-18 and Sun 13-17. Free entry. Warm welcome.
