Sinitse is an artistic persona and an evolving fictional universe created by Poleteli Anna. Working primarily with plastic, light and construction materials, Sinitse imagines a world where fragile things are protected, illuminated and transformed. The work draws from memories of post-Soviet domestic culture, where plastic once symbolized care, preservation and hope for the future.
The objects resemble minerals, fossils, embryos, deep-sea organisms or fragments of an unknown ecosystem. They exist somewhere between natural formation and human construction. Through light, translucency and layered materials, Sinitse investigates how fragile bodies, memories and environments persist despite constant change.
Poleteli Anna is a Helsinki-based multidisciplinary artist working across photography, moving image, installation and spatial design. Since developing her distinctive visual language in Finland, her practice has expanded from photography into immersive sculptural environments, exploring fragility, protection and transformation. Influenced by post-Soviet material culture, cinematic storytelling and the symbolic worlds of Chagall, she creates luminous objects and narratives where everyday materials become carriers of memory, vulnerability and resilience. Her work includes documentary film, experimental moving image, installation and constructed environments.
