About the event
We are delighted to invite you to the opening of The Blue Verve – a contemporary art gallery committed to showcasing distinctive, reflective exhibitions that highlight originality, depth, and artistic spirit.
Our first exhibition reflects the mission of the gallery: to support artists, inspire people, and create a space for meaningful encounters with contemporary art.
We are proud to present Softshell – a Solo Exhibition by Eeva Paavela, a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts of Helsinki.
The title Softshell can refer to a material that offers its wearer warmth and comfort in addition to protection from harsh elements, or to a creature having a fragile shell, sometimes due to recent shedding. In Softshell, Paavela examines themes of vulnerability and self-protection, with a particular interest in layering, covering, and revealing.
