Warm welcome to the opening of Alexandra Raita's ‘ECHOES’ art exhibition on Thursday, 30 April, from 17 to 21 💙

 

Echoes brings together paintings by Alexandra Raita, built around recurring faces and repeated marks.

Raita's works hold onto the rawness of their starting point, becoming less about depiction and more about presence, sensation, and immediacy. Working with acrylic, oil pastel, and spray paint, Raita draws from impulses that are direct and unfiltered. She builds compositions that shift in tone and texture, and her process is intuitive, tracing what is fleeting and difficult to hold in place.

Raita's distinctive visual language, built around recurring faces and repeated marks, carries the speed of its origin. There is no attempt to smooth or refine what appears. Lines cut, overlap, and repeat, while faces emerge and destabilise, confront and dissolve. Her works hold onto the rawness of their starting point, and the result is less about depiction and more about sensation.

In this exhibition, an echoing image returns in different forms. It’s unclear. It changes, accumulates, and stays in motion.

The exhibition is on view from 30.4 till 10.5. Our doors are open Tue-Sat 14-18 and Sun 13-17. Free entry. Warm welcome 💙
