Unknown Strength
Jevgenia Vassiljeva

Artwork from The Memory of the Herd exhibition. Jevgenia Vassiljeva's exhibition is about what lives inside us instinctively: doubts, courage, direction, belonging, and the invisible knowledge we receive from those who came before us.
The bull appears as a symbol of strength.
The hare as intuition.
The moon - as a silent witness.
The deep shades of blue act as a compass and create depth, distance and a sense of infinity.
Jevgenia Vassiljeva @loovart is a contemporary artist based in Tallinn, Estonia. Her work is centred on large-scale acrylic paintings of animals and symbols. After studying Graphic Design at the Estonian Academy of Arts, Jevgenia was drawn to symbols that feel ancient and immediate at the same time - bulls, hares, horses, moons, lines, and hidden marks.
Her works have been exhibited in Estonia and collected internationally. In recent years, her practice has moved toward a more focused visual world, where blue has become one of the central elements of her artistic language.
