“His Narrative” explores gossip and its role in shaping or disrupting a person’s beginning in the eyes of others. The painting that one creates of another by words may not be visible, but its effects can be horrendous. This work brings a narrative alive to provoke the idea that often gossip is just that, a painting created of another - a Narrative- to point a finger at someone else, often in an attempt to avoid facing one's own inner struggles. The work reflects on how beginnings are not always beautiful or formed from good intent.
 
Jenna Rautén is a Finnish visual artist whose work consists of animal-themed oil paintings and abstract acrylics. She has painted for over 10 years and sold her paintings worldwide, with her latest solo exhibition held at Ming Art Gallery in Shanghai in 2024.
