A mirror of the subconscious.
Nothing exists without a body to experience existence with.
 
"In "Dark", the model was a young athlete. Physically, he seemed strong and confident, but while painting, I kept noticing a sadness in his expression. I could not tell where it came from. The painting became less about the body and more about that contradiction between strength and vulnerability."
